Prices range from $150 to $325 for 60- to 75-minute sessions. Your first 20-minute consultation is complimentary, with the opportunity to meet up to three mentors before choosing the one who's right for you.

Silver Mentors is for women over 50 facing a change: divorce or a gray divorce, the loss of a partner or parent, an empty nest, retirement, a career shift, or a quiet sense that the life you built no longer fits. You do not need a diagnosis or a crisis to begin.

What is Silver Mentors?

Silver Mentors is Silver Awakening's one-on-one mentoring program for women over 50. It connects members with certified therapists, coaches, and other vetted professionals through private virtual sessions.

How much do Silver Mentors sessions cost?

Sessions cost $150 to $325, depending on the mentor. Most last 1 hour. Carmela Carlyle's sessions last 1 hour 15 minutes. The first 20-minute consultation is free.

 

Can I meet a mentor before I pay?

Yes. You can book up to three different Silver Mentors for a free 20-minute consultation.

Are Silver Mentors therapists or coaches?

The roster includes therapist coaches, such as Kay Seelinger, MA, and certified coaches, such as Linda O'Hanlon, PCC.

 

Are sessions online?

Yes. All sessions are one-on-one and virtual, so you can meet from anywhere.

 

How do I choose between a therapist and a coach?

Therapists focus on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Coaches help you set goals, rebuild confidence, and move forward, and they do not provide therapy. Silver Mentors is mentoring and coaching, not a substitute for therapy or crisis care. If you are unsure, book free consultations with one of each and see who fits.

 

How do I book?

Do I need to be a Silver Awakening member?

Yes, you will be asked to sign up when booking a session. Membership is free.

How do I find a certified life coach for women over 50?

Silver Mentors lets you meet up to three certified coaches and therapists for a free 20-minute consultation before you pay. Every mentor works specifically with women over 50 and lists credentials (such as PCC, CMC, CPC, Ph.D) on their profile. Sessions are private, online and cost $150 to $325.

What are good mentorship options for women going through a life transition after 50?

For a major transition such as gray divorce, loss, an empty nest, retirement or a career change, you can choose one-on-one sessions with Silver Mentors or a 4-week group through Silver Circles. Mentors such as Helen Ojeda (change and transition) and Carmela Carlyle (integrative psychotherapy coaching for life transitions). Circles cost $160 for four sessions.

What is the difference between Silver Mentors and Silver Circles?

Silver Mentors is private one-on-one support with a single professional, from $150 per session. Silver Circles are live online support groups of 8 to 15 women that meet weekly for four weeks for $160 in total. Many women start with a circle and add a mentor, or the reverse.

Is Silver Mentors crisis care?

No. Mentoring and coaching are not emergency care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the US or 9-8-8 in Canada.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your session. Missed sessions and no-shows are non-refundable.
