​Women 50+ represent one of the largest and most influential demographic groups in the United States. They wield enormous economic, cultural, and family influence while simultaneously navigating profound personal transitions.

For many women, the years after 50
can bring several major changes at once:

• Career transition, retirement, or forced retirement

• Empty nest and changing family roles

• Caring for aging parents

• Loss and grief

• Relocation or downsizing

• Changes in financial circumstances

• Changing bodies and wellness priorities

• New questions about intimacy, sexuality, and relationships

• Shifts in spirituality, identity, and purpose

These experiences are common, but they are rarely addressed as part of one larger life transition. That creates a life-stage gap. Women are experiencing something significant, yet there is no widely embraced, aspirational cultural identity that captures what this stage of life can become.​
