ABOUT
Carmela Carlyle is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Educator devoted to helping women to embrace new life chapters claiming wholeness, power, boundaries, and joy. She guides clients to release that which no longer serves them to create spaciousness for a new life chapter by safely exploring shadow material through compassionate, insight-driven work that fosters physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Her approach emphasizes embodied practices, creative expression, and practical tools that support enduring transformation. Healing and strategizing through codependency, narcissistic abuse, trauma, family estrangement, divorce, caregiving, and career change are areas within her depth of expertise. With more than 30 years in private practice across the San Francisco Bay Area and Mexico, Carmela has served in hospitals, PTSD and pain support programs, cancer recovery, eldercare, bereavement, hospice, and organizational settings. Her speciality has long been Adult Life Transitions with a focus on supporting women. She did post-graduate studies at the Institute on Aging and taught graduate psychology "Women and Aging” courses. Carmela has directed professional staff development coaching programs at UC Berkeley, Los Alamos National Laboratory and UC Santa Cruz School of International Business. And has presented nationally on life transitions, stress management, vicarious trauma interventions, and innovative dementia care models. She also has led retreats and workshops integrating yoga, sound healing, and expressive arts. Carmela’s training spans clinical and complementary modalities, she holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Feminist Therapy from Antioch University, San Francisco, post‑graduate studies in 'Women & Aging' from University of Pennsylvania’s Institute on Aging, advanced neuroscience-informed psychotherapy training, and certification as an Integrative Yoga Therapy Teacher. She is a Certified Expressive Arts Counselor, Integrative Yoga Nidra Meditation Guide, Crystal Bowl Sound Healer, and Goddess Guidance Intuitive ~ bringing a wholistic, multidisciplinary, soulful approach to therapeutic care.


Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Refund Policy: Individual Silver Mentor sessions are reserved specifically for you, and our mentors dedicate time and preparation to support your growth. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time are not refundable. Any rescheduling request for a cancellation made within 24 hours of the appointment time will be handled solely at the mentor's discretion. Missed sessions, including no shows, are considered non-refundable. For clients who purchase a package of sessions, each session within the package follows the same 24-hour cancellation policy, and unused sessions are non-refundable once the package has begun. If Silver Awakening must cancel or reschedule a session, you will receive a full refund or the option to rebook.
